SDC FAQ & Info

- SDC is anonymous, you may not identify yourself in the picture. This will be decided on a case by case basis. For example; If your name happens to be RhiaBaby and the entry is a mother’s day entry entitled “Baby & Me”, you will not get pulled.
- You cannot change the name of your entry once you have sent in your link to enter the challenge.
- Entries will not be added after the start of the contest. DO NOT send an entry for a theme that's currently running.

- Items used for your entry :
AP items and content will be allowed as this site is 18+ only
You do NOT have to have AP content to participate
No pornographic material
No Suicide
No Murder
No forms of Assault period
No hate content
No sex no matter how tastefully done. No depictions of masturbation.
No drugs or drug references
No excessive gore
No excessive blood
No crotch/ genitalia shots
*** Rule change: We are now allowed to post pics that will include previously restricted areas. This means we can now allow images of naked avatars as long as the pictures are ARTISTIC and NOT PORNOGRAPHIC. DO NOT BE NAKED FOR NAKED SAKE. This will also be decided on a case by case basis.

- Hidden items are allowed because we can still see the icon
- Outfits will not be available to try on until after the challenge is over. A link will be provided to the outfit, however if the designer has hidden their outfit, it will not be viewable.
- Entries without a background (png) will be saved as jpg in our system.
- Entries must be in a *saveOutfit sized snapshot with your IMVU messenger. No editing is allowed.
- Entries must be on topic. If you feel the need to explain how it is related, you may do so in the message when you send your outfit url. This information will not be furnished in the challenge.
- No age play, it’s creepy. No fully grown avatars with huge boobs or muscles pretending to be children.
- No copyright infringement. If you openly copy an IMVU image made by someone else and enter it in this challenge you may be probated on a first offence and disabled on a second. This is copyright infringement. It is illegal. You may not enter trademarks of other people or products. For example, you may not enter a picture where the avatar is wearing on item with a chanel logo on it, or in the background or on an enhancer.
- You may not enter the same image more than once in this challenge. You must make a new entry every time you enter.
*** Rule Change: No recycled entries. Entries used in other contests and were present in the contest upon that contests time of closure may not be admitted here. Exception: Entries that were pulled by contest owners before the end of the contest may be admitted. Not entries that were pulled by yourself.
*** In the case of similar entries, there must be at least a 25% change between an entry you entered elsewhere and entered here. Please include both entries in your submission message to avoid delays or not being allowed admittance to the contest.
- You may not edit your entry in any way that cannot be replicated in the IMVU client. Doing so counts as cheating.
- Your avatar must be in the image. You may not enter a snapshot of your furniture or solely of the background.
- You hereby agree by entering that your smorg user name and entry image may be used freely by thesmorg.com for advertising purposes even if you terminate your account. TheSmorg.com will give credit to designer of the image unless they have terminated their account. This credit will be given to your smorg username, not your IMVU username.
- You hereby agree by entering that you are subject to punishment for cheating or attempting to cheat. Breaking anonymity, re-entering a pic, using editing software, muling, buddy voting, or circumventing the filters or coding to alter the challenge results will be deemed to be cheating. Violators will be probated on the first offence and disabled on the second. These events may be publicly recorded in the hall of shame.

Q: How do I enter?
A: Copy the url from your outfit info page and PM it, with the IMVU title (20 character limit) to SDC account on thesmorg.com. Once the challenge starts you are free to hide your outfit on IMVU. You must be at least 18 years of age to enter this challenge.

Q: When do I enter?
A: You have 24 hours to enter starting 48 hours before the challenge.
For example: For the September 1st challenge, entries must be entered starting noon August 30th, and ending noon August 31st. challenge will be available September 1st at noon and end September 2nd at noon. All times are in EST.

Q: How do I vote?:
A: There are 5 stars under each picture. Vote on how much you like each picture. Entries will remain static throughout the day so you can take your time and vote on all of them if you like. There will be no jumping entries in this challenge. Votes will be tabulated at the end of the day electronically. There is one vote allowed per picture per IP address.

Q: What happens after the challenge is over?
A: Winners will be posted within 24 hours, with the links and names. Points will be awarded to the top 50 entrants in this fashion:
1 = 10
2 = 9
3 = 8
4 = 7
5 = 6
6-10 = 5
11-20 = 4
21-30 =3
31-40 = 2
41-50 = 1

Points will accumulate throughout the month.
For contests with over 10 entires, the top 3 winners daily receive a sticker and credit prizes on IMVU which is not a real world currency.
Points will not carry into the next month.
For contests with less than 10 entries, only the first place winner will receive credits, while the top 3 will receive stickers.
For contests with 3 or less entries, no-one will receive credits, but the entrants will receive stickers.

Q: How do I advertise?
A: A banner to be placed on the SDC page is 150x200 (or less) and must be GA in content. It must be IMVU related and cannot lead to products or accounts that bash IMVU or another avatar. PM the SDC account to inquire about pricing and content requirements.
