It's that time of year again when people are turning to thoughts of family and friends.
What better way to send someone a holiday greeting than with your Christmas cards, covered with your own design.
We went shopping around, and let me tell you, making custom cards is quite expensive with operating costs of around $2.00/ card. This is obviously too high.
What we have elected to do is purchase bulk cardstock, and have the winning images printed separately and adhered to the front of the card for a much lower price.
Once I am done designing my mothers cards, I will post an example pic.
So what do you do?
Post images here ( as many as you want), that YOU created using IMVU or not (images CANNOT contain copyrighted content), in a 4"x6" .png format. Please remember to keep it clean. No verses, just the image. All cards will be blank inside to keep operating costs down.
You have until November 20th at noon EST to get your images posted. A public vote will be held and the top 3 winners will get to have their images up for sale on the first annual Smorg Christmas Cards.
What do you get?
Final operating costs may vary depending on demand. Artists share will be around 50 cents CDN per set of cards sold, or 1000 IMVU credits per set sold. If cash is selected, there must be a minimum balance of $10 accrued and the remainder will pay out in IMVU credits. You will be responsible for your share of the paypal transfer fees.
Your name will be shipped along with the set of cards to whomever buys it as credit to you.
Legal stuff:
You must be 18 or older to participate.
You must have an IMVU account to participate.
You will adhere to thesmorgs ToS
You understand that submitting to the contest grants thesmorg and it's proprietary agents the rights to use or alter your image as needed, and the right to further use your image for marketing or advertising purposes.
Cards will be sold in sets of 10 only.
Purchasers will be responsible for any taxes and shipping costs on top of the cost of the cards.
Let the Yule tidings begin!
